THE LOCAL AREA

There is so much going on in the local area for people to get involved with. That might be volunteering, joining a dance class or just enjoying one of the many festivals that take place in More London or Bermondsey Street. Why not contact a neighbour and go together. These things are on our doorstep; there is so much available and its a great way to connect and beat loneliness and isolation. Please drop us an email if there is something you think your neighbours might be interested in hearing about.

COMMUNITY

CONSTITUTION

A Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) constitution is a set of written rules that outlines how the association is organized, how it operates, and how it makes decisions. It acts as the TR&A's governing document, similar to a charter or bylaws.

You can find a copy of the constitution here:

CONSTITUTION

MINUTES

The TRA takes minutes for several reasons, primarily to document decisions and actions taken, ensure compliance, and facilitate future reference and accountability. Minutes are the official record of a meeting, providing a written account of discussions, resolutions, and action items.

MONTHLY SITE INSPECTIONS

London Borough of Southwark (LBS) is the freeholder of Devon Mansions & Harland House, and works with residents to care for the buildings and estates you live in. The LBS resident services teams care for communal areas and make sure estates and surrounding areas are clean and tidy. LBS carries out monthly estate inspections, which are an informal ‘walkabout’ across the estate with council officers and other tenants every month. You can join an estate inspection here: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/housing/join-estate-inspection
